Thanks to our free electric hotel shuttle, you’ll be at the valley station in just 3 minutes – no need to carry skis or trudge around in cumbersome ski boots. The shuttle runs continuously during lift opening hours, from 8.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. You can hop on and hop off whenever you like. For a truly relaxed ski day – with or without children.

If you’re seeking ski fun for all ages, this is the place: the youngest winter sports fans let off steam in the kids’ area with magic carpets, as well as a slalom course, wave track, ski carousel, and mysterious forest trail, while older children hit the slopes with parents or grandparents. Freestyle and snowboarding enthusiasts head straight for the action-packed fun park. What’s more, cosy mountain huts invite you to take a break in between.

If you’re new to skiing or snowboarding – or want to improve your technique – you’ll be in excellent hands at one of Ratschings’ two ski schools. In private or group lessons led by experienced instructors, children and adults alike can expand their skills.

By the way: snowy adventures with children in South Tyrol are twice as rewarding at the Ratschings-Jaufen ski resort – kids up to age eight ski for free when accompanied by an adult.

And that’s just the beginning – around Alpura, a new tobogganing adventure awaits you every day of your holiday. Discover Italy’s longest illuminated toboggan run on the Rosskopf, and the natural runs at Stadlalm, Freund Alm, Äußere Wurzeralm, Prantner Alm, Allrissalm, and Enzianhütte.

Meanwhile, little ones can enjoy sledging, riding a bobsled, or sliding down the small snow hill we shape into place in our park each winter.

If you feel at home on ice, Ratschings also offers you the opportunity to enjoy your time at your own pace – either on the ice rink in the valley or at the Sterzing ice arena, just 10km away.

A true natural treasure among Ratschings’ winter sports offerings: the Platschjochpanoramic high-altitude cross-country ski trail at 1,800 metres above sea level. During your ski holiday in South Tyrol, you can get straight on the trail – at the mountain station for the Ratschings-Jaufen ski resort – and glide at your own pace across 14.9km of varied open terrain and dense spruce forests, all providing breathtaking panoramic views.

If you prefer skating through the landscape flanked by mountains, our electric hotel shuttle will take you straight to the valley cross-country ski trail. Those with more athletic ambition will find their rhythm in Pfitsch and on the renowned biathlon trail in Ridnaun.
